The Milwaukee Repertory Theater Will Announce Its 2018-2019 Season in Two Weeks

As a theater enthusiast as well as a freelance film critic, I will incorporate occassional capsule theater reviews and news here, despite the fact it is neither my specialty nor my expertise (sometimes expect the articles to be partially biased). Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy the change of pace every once in awhile.

The Milwaukee Repertory Theater (108 East Wells Street in Downtown Milwaukee) will announce its 2018-2019 Season at 7pm in the Quadracci Powerhouse on Monday, February 12, 2018. The Season preview will include significant scenes and songs from the shows and a few surprises. The 2018-2019 Season also marks the Rep's 65th Anniversary.

In other news, the Stackner Cabaret will undergo a $1.75 million renovation in which will expand the seating capacity and include new tables, chairs, and the like. The Board of Trustees elected three new members: Ayad Akhtar, Bladen Burns, and Deborah Tomczyk.

The Milwaukee Repertory Theater's artistic director is Mark Clements and managing director is Chad Bauman. The Rep is a member of League of Resident Theaters (LORT) and sponsored in part by the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) and several local organizations. The Rep is home to the Stiemke Studio, Quadracci Powerhouse, and Stackner Cabaret.
