“The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature” (PG) – The sequel to “The Nut Job” (2014) deserved a straight to home video release. If anything, the unnecessary continuation is a slight improvement from the predecessor. Nothing to go nuts over. D

“The Glass Castle” (PG-13) – Based on the memoir of the same name by Jeannette Walls, the allegedly uplifting narrative is the exact opposite – praising alcoholism, abuse, and the alcoholic father. Brie Larson, Naomi Watts, and Woody Harrelson are brilliant as always and yet, the story does not fulfill their acting capabilities. C-

“Annabelle: Creation” (R) – A family is terrorized by a possessed doll. No review is forthcoming.

“An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power” (PG) – Al Gore’s follow up documentary to “An Inconvenient Truth” (2006) expanded nationwide today.
